Spring Hammock Preserve

Open 8 a.m.–Sunset. The Spring Hammock Preserve is an approximately 1,500-acre property that includes Soldiers Creek Park, Big Tree Park, the Cross Seminole Trail, and the Florida National Scenic Trail. The preserve is home to a vast array of floodplain forests, hydric hammocks, upland mixed hardwoods, and pine flatwoods. The Osprey Trailhead was recently renovated to feature new boardwalks with bench seating, enhanced mudwalk crossings, a new pavilion, and an ADA-accessible pathway.
