As Freebee continues to monitor the latest information from federal, state, and local health officials regarding the spread of novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), Freebee has augmented standard operating procedures to safeguard the health of all passengers, employees, and the communities we serve.
Freebee drivers are subject to daily health checks at the start of every shift, and advised to stay home if they are feeling ill prior to the beginning of their shift. In the event that a Freebee driver is experiencing flu-like symptoms, they are required to provide medical documentation, clearing their return to work.
Freebee drivers and other staff are thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting all transit vehicles at regular intervals throughout the day with high-grade sanitizers and multi-purpose cleaners. Additionally, our staff is focusing its attention on disinfecting hard surfaces and high-contact areas such as doors, handles, and seats.
All Freebee drivers and passengers are now required to wear face masks covering their nose and mouth and medical grade gloves are made readily available to our staff. We are also limiting the number of passengers per ride in service areas where we are still providing on-demand service, and passengers are no longer allowed to ride in the front seat of our vehicles for the time being. Ride pooling is no longer an option for the foreseeable future, as social distancing is a top of mind priority during this time.
Freebee will continue to follow the latest guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Florida Department of Health (FDOH), and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) on the most effective preventive measures to ensure the actions we’re taking are comprehensive and appropriate.
